Now the nice folks at KnowYourTrade.com have done the hard work for you. They have created lists of how many members each club has in the most popular swap destination countries. Don't join a home exchange club before you check this information!

Know Your Trade's analysis of listings in the USA show that HomeExchange.com has more than twice the number of US listings than the next largest club. This is a non-commercial blog, and I have no affiliation with any home exchange club, but the evidence as to which club to join is incontrovertible.
There are some surprises here. For instance, HomeExchange.com has about five times more US swap listings than Intervac! And though it's based in the USA, HomeExchange.com beats the other clubs in the number of listings in each country surveyed except Germany, the UK and Spain. In each country where HomeExchange.com does not have the highest number of listings it is generally beaten by a few clubs which are based in or near each of those individual areas. Those clubs generally do not have more listings than HomeExchange.com in any other country.
Are you picking up on a theme here? HomeExchange.com may cost $99 per year (or $70 a year for two years). Other clubs have a lower one-year membership price. But it's clear that, unless you are only interested in either Spain or the UK, HomeExchange.com gives you the best bang for the home exchange membership dollar. We can all thank KnowYourTrade.com for breaking this down in an easy-to-read format.
