BEST HOME EXCHANGE HOME TOWN

This home exchange Blog is a noncommercial labor of love. Most folks who write about home exchange on a regular basis are doing it to promote a business or make money. From what I have seen, this can bias what they say.

A reader who is about to retire wants to make home exchange travel a central part of her retirement life style. She emailed me a post from a Blog connected to a home exchange club.

The club owner had written an article claiming she could not recommend one town over another as a "better" base for home exchangers. This is disingenuous.

Of course there are places that are ideal home bases for people who want lots of swap offers. I can understand why a home exchange club owner would pretend this is not the case. If everyone thinks each region is an equally popular home exchange destination the club owner will have more members and more varied offerings. The individual swappers, however, may find their membership dollars wasted if no one offers them an exchange.

If you want to spend your time fielding more swap offers than you could possibly accept, I will tell you exactly where to buy your next home. Tomorrow.
