We knew the Vancouver exchange home was amazing: a mid-century modernist architectural masterpiece featured in film and magazines. We also knew it was nestled among redwood trees in a temperate rain forest.
What we were not prepared for was the dramatic juxtaposition of the two.
Wow. This swap home is breath taking. Big, soaring rooms with views of those majestic trees from every window.
When we walked in I was actually a bit worried. I feel pretty confident about my home but no one is handing us architecture awards for our own far more box-like mid-century modern building.
Whew, the exchanger wrote when he got in to say our place is perfect for his family. Despite the total absense of redwood forest in downtown Manhattan.
This entire vacation has re-energized me about home exchange. The kind hospitality of the Napa exchangers, the magnificence of this Vancouver home, it all has me saying man, ain't home exchange wonderful !?!
