When people ask you for a swap they often tell you why they want to visit your area.
Every year I know when the New York marathon is about to occur because several swappers who are also runners ask me for my home for race weekend.
Other families want to use my home because it is close to the college their child attends or in order to attend an annual event which occurs just up the road from my home.
Do you live near a concert venue or a convention center? Does an annual parade go past your neighborhood? Perhaps your town is known for a yearly festival or race. Let home exchangers know how convenient and close your home is to these exciting events.
You may not know what interests visitors to your area. No matter. The swappers will let you know right in their exchange offers.
Every reason mentioned for visiting your area is the ideal inducement for other swappers to stay at your home.
Whenever you receive an offer saying "we are eager to visit your area to take part in the annual XYZ event" you should take that info and put it right in your listing: "We are only two blocks from the start of our town's famous annual ABC parade!"
You may be bored with the same old County Fair. But European swappers are eager to see a real rodeo or civil war re-enactment or even just the giant pumpkin contest.
Let your swappers tell you what is interesting about your area. Then use that to entice new exchangers to shower you with offers. It's just that easy.
