The listing created by my high school friend who wants to try home exchange is up. I took a look and she did a great job, including lots of interior photos, mentioning all the nearby attractions and pointing out her home's special features.
There is one thing she did in her listing that strikes me as a great way to improve our odds of getting the right exchange. She has just one destination in her "trip wish" list.
Some swap club sites allow you to add as many destinations as you like. Others limit you to three or four. Maybe we should limit ourselves.
It's nice to be open-minded and consider all offers but if there is one special destination you really want to visit, nothing says you're serious about arranging a swap like having just one targeted destination in your listing.
