DRUNKEN HOME EXCHANGERS

We have home exchangers at our place this week and they may be drunk. We were once welcomed to a swapper's home with a note directing us to a celebratory bottle of champagne in the fridge. I don't even drink but it was such a nice gesture I have tried to recreate it ever since.


I don't assume that anyone else drinks so I make sure to put a bottle of sparkling fruit juice next to the champagne.


These days, craft breweries can be found in much of Europe and North America. A chilled six pack of local beer is a nice welcome for travelers who want to experience regional flavor.


Unless you are exchanging your home through the Mormon swap club, that is.
