LOTS OF QUESTIONS

The mail bag here at Nicole Frank's Home Exchange Travels has been bursting at the seams.  Here are some great questions from a new reader:

My cousin in Maryland is considering home exchange with a family in France. I have so many questions about this (it's her first time home exchanging).. What about the safety of your home? Do you allow the people to drive your vehicle? (Considering that she's exchanging with another culture and we have a lot of weird laws... is that a safe thing to do?) What are the biggest concerns? I know I'm asking a lot of negative things, but I figured the positives are great already - you get to go to a place without having to pay for a hotel, you have a vehicle without having to rent it, you have a home that you can cook in rather than a hotel, you get the local culture yet most of the time close enough to the area where you want to go to... I'm eager to learn more :)

Lots of thoughts on these many questions.  Veteran home exchangers, before I weigh in, what do you think?
