TURBO-CHARGE YOUR SWAP LISTING

Your listing on the home exchange club site looks great! You included photos of each room of your home. Using the check boxes you selected all the great amenities your home features like the washer/dryer and high-speed internet access. Your listing contains brief descriptions of your home, family and neighborhood. In short, you have done the best you can to make your home enticing to folks browsing the listings of the home exchange club.

You can do better. And, in certain circumstances, you need to do better to get your dream swap.

Whether you are looking for an "invisible home exchange" in an area with few swappers, live off the beaten tourist track, have an atypical swap party or just want to entice more people to exchange with you, a personal home exchange page can bring in more exchange offers than a club listing alone.

Most home exchange sites offer a check menu of home amenities and local area attractions. They have a text box where you can write several paragraphs about your family, home, and neighborhood. There are usually pull-down menus that allow you to describe the number of people traveling, whether or not you have children and what dates and destinations interest you the most.

The listings created as a result offer a good amount of information. But with a personal site you can elaborate and find even more swap partners. What does a personal swap page look like? Stay tuned to find out.
