The Florida exchanger studiously ignored our emails. Her communication had been better before she used her half of this non-simultaneous swap.
At first she wouldn't tell us where her house was, then she provided an address "not yet available on any mapping site".
No, she wouldn't send keys, we would have to meet her -- somewhere near her work -- to be oriented to the house.
Considering how flaky the swapper was being about communication, the idea of meeting her at a nebulous time in an unknown place to go to a non-existant address made me feel very uncomfortable.
It is hard to be footloose and fancy free about accommodations with two toddlers and their 85-year old grandpa along for the ride.
Just before we were to leave for the exchange I called and asked the exchanger to at least tell me a firm meeting place and time.
She finally agreed to meet at a coffee shop along the highway and provided the location.
Now I was a little bit more comfortable, but, considering her track record, not much.
