We're heading West for a week's home exchange in Napa, followed by a week at a Vancouver exchange home that has been featured in film and magazines. The Napa trade is with the family that owns the pre-school. A week of child care is included in this exchange, to our growing excitement. Our children are thrilled to go to "summer camp" with its water slide, games, new friends, garden and playgrounds.
But one of these exchangers didn't live up to his end of the contract we signed before agreeing to the swap. I'll try to fill you in on the details once we've made our escape from New York.
