GET READY TO SWAP

Memorial Day weekend is the start of summer here in the United States. We will be doing our first home exchange of the season. This weekend is dedicated to getting our home ready for the swap family.


In my case that means tackling some cluttered areas where textbooks and other reading materials have accumulated.


The children are taking this opportunity to sort their toys and books and donate those they no longer use.


A cleaning service is coming in the morning we go to meet the swap family.


I revamped my home exchange instructions and added some menus and brochures to the book of swap info.


We are getting out the bed linens we reserve for swappers.


It isn't as easy as reserving a motel room but we will get to meet new friends and have their nice big house to use.
